Residence Director
General management of a Category 3 and 4 certified RPA in Sherbrooke. Operations, finance, human resources, and relationships with residents, families, and public agencies.

Résidence Unique Sherbrooke is seeking a residence director. The director is responsible for the general, operational, administrative, financial, and human resources management of the residence.
Principal responsibilities
Ensure the day-to-day operation of the residence
Supervise, train, and mentor staff
Anticipate staffing needs and organize schedules with the relevant teams
Apply the collective agreement and manage discipline as required
Maintain a professional and harmonious work environment
Handle rentals, admissions, and placements of new residents
Maintain and improve the residence's occupancy rate
Prepare leases, admission documents, and renewals
Prepare and follow up on rent increase notices
Ensure collection of rent, subsidies, PAP amounts, and sums due from CIUSSS, the Public Curator, and other sources
Follow up on arrears, missing payments, and underpayments
Manage relationships with residents, families, CLSC, CIUSSS, the Public Curator, and other partners
Attend meetings with public agencies and ensure required follow-ups
Oversee the quality of services, care, food, activities, and resident safety
Manage residence certification and compliance with applicable requirements, including MAPAQ, RBQ, CIUSSS, and other authorities
Manage day-to-day expenses and protect the residence's revenues
Schedule appointments with suppliers and ensure follow-up
Respond to emergencies
Communicate all relevant information to the owner
Carry out any other related task required for the proper functioning of the residence
Compensation
Compensation is to be discussed. It will be set based on the experience, skills, and profile of the selected candidate.
The director must exercise their duties with diligence, professionalism, loyalty, and sound judgment, in the interest of the residence, the residents, and the employer.
Requirements
Relevant management experience, ideally in a seniors' residence or similar setting
Strong skills in staff management, communication, and organization
Good understanding of issues involving residents, families, public agencies, and partners
Strong computer proficiency
Solid command of Word, Excel, and Sage 50 or a comparable accounting software
Ability to track rents, accounts receivable, reports, tables, and administrative documents
