Licensed practical nurse
Full-time position within the care team. You contribute to assessing residents’ health status, administer medication, treat wounds and carry out clinical follow-up in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
25 – 32 $ CAD /hour · To be discussed based on experience and skills
Résidence Unique Sherbrooke is looking for a licensed practical nurse (infirmier/infirmière auxiliaire) to complete its care team. Full-time position.
As a licensed practical nurse, you will have the opportunity to:
Build a relationship of trust with residents and their families, and inform them about the care required.
Contribute to assessing each person’s health status and to carrying out their intervention plan.
Perform the various prescribed treatments and assist with hygiene and comfort care.
Administer medication and treat wounds.
Take vital signs and follow up on them.
Write notes on residents’ condition, the care provided and the medication administered.
Pass on, receive and act on information related to residents.
Determine, plan and prioritize interventions according to the situation, the prescription and the established plans, in collaboration with other health professionals.
Requirements
Training
DEP in Health, Assistance and Nursing (Santé, assistance et soins infirmiers).
Membership in the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ).
